President & CEO

John’s education includes graduation from Berkley High School (Berkley, Michigan), and undergraduate coursework at the University of Detroit (Michigan) with a major in Accounting. He graduated from the Detroit College of Law in 1972 with a Juris Doctor degree. His work experience includes twenty-one years’ service to the City of Oak Park, Michigan, first as a Public Safety Officer, and later serving as Chief Accountant, then as Deputy Director of Finance, and finally as Assistant City Manager. Eventually, John went on to work for the City of Warren, Michigan, for three years as Personnel Director and City Attorney, and then was the Joint Personnel Director for the County of Marathon and the City of Wausau, Wisconsin. He opened his own law office in 1985 and specialized in governmental, business and tax law. In 1993, When John retired and moved to DeLand, Florida he started a Tax Preparation business which quickly grew to be one of the largest in Volusia County. Although John eventually expanded his practice to include Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll, preparation of Wills and Trusts, as well as the formation of Corporations, LLCs and Partnerships. He still does IRS problem and resolution work for clients facing audits and other federal tax issues.

Amy Cashulette Flagg

General Manager

Amy grew up in DeLand, attended DeLand High School and earned a B.A. in English and Communications at Flagler College (St. Augustine). After graduation, Amy worked in advertising and retail sales. She went on to earn an M.A. in English at The Florida State University (Tallahassee), as well as completing Ph.D. coursework and comprehensive exams in English Composition and Rhetoric. During her teaching career, Amy taught college composition and English as a Second Language in Florida, Colorado, and New Zealand. She has an extensive background in research, writing, proof reading and editing and has owned a small direct sales business. As the General Manager, she is responsible for supervising staff, correspondence, document preparation, research, and bookkeeping.
